Everything Special Needs, a talk show focusing on parents in the special needs community, will air weekly on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM beginning Thursday, June 29 at 5 p.m.

Hosted by Philadelphia radio veteran and Rowan University alumni Sue Shilling ’93, the program aims to be a valuable tool to listeners throughout the Delaware Valley area and beyond.

“The show allows for the opportunity to spread valuable resources to the community and also to form bonds and be inspired by some amazing stories,” said Shilling.

A 2015 inductee into the WGLS-FM Hall of Fame, Shilling believes Everything Special Needs will fill a void for parents who can’t quite get the information needed related to special needs.

“People can’t always get out to meetings to find resources so this is a way to bring the meeting to them.”

This marks Shilling’s return to the Rowan Radio airwaves, where she was an on-air personality and a member of the station’s sports department back in the early 90’s.

“It means a great deal to me as an alumni to be able to put such a meaningful show on Rowan Radio, where it all began,” said Shilling.

Episodes of Everything Special Needs will be available as a podcast at rowanradio.com, iTunes, Stitcher, and SoundCloud.
